# Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

QuakeLens collects the minimum it needs to send you alerts: an anonymous push token and the seismic zones you watch. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.

## Your saved locations

The locations you register in QuakeLens — their names and coordinates — are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account, where only you can access them. They are never sent to our server.

The app translates each location into the seismic zones that cover it. These zones are large regions, typically well over a hundred kilometers across, and only their identifiers leave your device. Our server learns that a device watches, say, the Marmara zone — never a street, a city block, or an exact place.

## What our server stores

To deliver notifications, our server keeps: the anonymous push token Apple assigns to your device, the list of zones you watch, the app language (so notifications arrive in your language), and whether the device has an active QuakeLens Watch purchase, together with the anonymous identifier used to verify it.

None of this is linked to your name, email address, phone number, or any other identity. There are no user accounts. Tokens that stop working are deleted automatically.

## Purchases

Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. Subscription status is validated by RevenueCat (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/), which receives an anonymous identifier and the purchase receipt — nothing that identifies you personally.

## Server logs

Like every web service, our servers keep standard technical logs — IP address, request time, user agent — for security and troubleshooting. They are rotated routinely and never used for profiling or marketing. Traffic to our service passes through Cloudflare, which acts as a network provider.

## Notifications

Push notifications are delivered through Apple's notification service. Their content describes the status of a seismic zone — nothing personal.

## Deleting your data

Deleting the app is enough: the push token stops working and our server removes the registration automatically. If you would like your data removed immediately, or have any question about this policy, write to apps@ake.dev.

## Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.

QuakeLens reports elevated statistical probability based on measured seismic activity. It does not predict earthquakes — nobody can — and it is not an earthquake early-warning system.
